Where are the SHADERS!!!
[b]When the beta had launched for this game all vendors[/b] within the tower, more specifically the faction vendors,[b] had an alloted amount of [/b]faction [b]shaders along with the rest of their inventory[/b]... [b]On top of that "Eva Levonte"[/b] (A.K.A. Woman who torments me with "refreshed" stock of the same dagum stock as last week)[b] Had an inventory that would constantly update and had a variety of shaders to purchase[/b]...
[b]Now [/b]the game being out for over a month and[b] a majority of players are wearing the[i] EXACT[/i] same shaders because nothing is available to us[/b]... [b]the game was supposed to be make yourself legend, [i]Not [/i]homogenize every character until they all look the exact same...

[b]I understand some loot and the necessity for keeping it RNG based but [i]SHADERS!!![/i][/b]...[b]Shaders are expressions of our personal taste and preference[/b]...there isn't some majical OP shader that needs a nerf nor buff...its a SHADER...and [b]people should be able to dye their armor to their liking[/b]...
[b]Shaders shouldnt be treated like an exotic item [/b]([i]unless they have truly exotic traits such as "Tron" lighted armor, or hive shaded armor with glowing green visor tints, in which case these could be harder to ascertain but should still be ATTAINABLE[/i])[b] and shouldnt be left to RNG[/b] [b]or the [/b]forsaken [b]Cryptarch to hand out[/b] in one of his oh so gracious "care packages" [b]for leveling him up[/b]...
If anyone else is sincerely dissapointed or simply fed up and would like access to more shaders [b]please sign/post here[/b]...

I absolutely love the game bungie, but, where the -blam!- are my shader at? Shop keeper with only 4 shader that never restock (that's pretty stupid) Only get some shader thru rng cryptarch packages (that's pretty stupid, what's the point of the GUARDIAN OUTFITTER IF HER STOCK NEVER REFRESHES AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET SHADERS IS THRU A SHADY ASS CRYPTARCH WHO HONESTLY NEVER GIVES YOU SHIT ANYWAY) LOVE THE GAME BUNGIE FIX THE REALLY STUPID SHIT

I received Nefertiti AK at level 12 of New Monarchy... I'd rather buy my favorite shader instead of grinding vanguard bounties on a daily basis...

I don't mind the shader system the way it is, suppose it's another way to keep people plodding on and playing, (especially seeing as so few are available to buy and the frequently recurring issue of the ones at the outfitter never refreshing) but do wish you could customise the shaders a little. So many are just way too much on my warlock, I could probably doom everyone in the Crucible just with the glare off some if I equipped them. :\ But it'd be cool if you could at least have an option to modify the brightness and stuff a little, or switch about which parts are shaded what colour within that particular shader. Maybe even be able to buy modifiers from the outfitter where you can change the look of the texture.

2 RepliesIt's true, The shaders are so hard to get seeing as it's all luck based now. however, when i do get a shader, i tend to be overjoyed (unless it's yet another bloodpack) got thunderdevil last night and it looks sweet

1 ReplyThank you for this thread. I wish they would make a white shader that doesn't make you look like a walking disco ball (chatterwhite) i think that is one of the ugliest shaders around.

Yes agreed, we defiantly need to have the option to be completely different and controlled by us... Heck it can be done in other games, so why not this one... Hope they fix it...

7 RepliesDude, the Shader are available and out there, you just have to play! I was able to get Arctic and Substance 321 Shaders by leveling up Cryptarch 4 levels yesterday, maybe i am just extremely lucky! I was also able to get God of War shader by leveling the crytarch 3 times in the same day...see the pattern! Try leveling him up several time in one day and see what happens.

I'd love to see one good explanation for the withdrawal of the shaders that doesn't involve DLC. Just one.

1 ReplyPersonally I think each shader should have a toggle or negative function that would allow each shaders primary and secondary colors to be reversed. Then each shader would be like having two. How cool would the Blacksmith shader look if it was black with white and gold trim? Double banshee would still look the same though lol.

There's not a single shader for hunters that im sold on yet.. the colors are all off, or certain colors are given so much weight that my armor always turns into glaring white another color.. beowulf, achilles, Bloodpact.. all have too much white for me. rhen there's chatterwhite.. *shiver*. I want a cool black or red shader :/. Also, the capes.. it seems like the Cape always gets jacked up by a shader so that it doesn't match >_<. Give us back our faction shaders!

8 RepliesI completely agree. I have been playing PvP and Tiger Strikes non-stop in hopes of acquiring the God of War shader. 375 games played in the Curcible and 140 Strikes later, and still nothing. That outfitter needs to change her damn shader stock.
