Where are the SHADERS!!!
[b]When the beta had launched for this game all vendors[/b] within the tower, more specifically the faction vendors,[b] had an alloted amount of [/b]faction [b]shaders along with the rest of their inventory[/b]... [b]On top of that "Eva Levonte"[/b] (A.K.A. Woman who torments me with "refreshed" stock of the same dagum stock as last week)[b] Had an inventory that would constantly update and had a variety of shaders to purchase[/b]...
[b]Now [/b]the game being out for over a month and[b] a majority of players are wearing the[i] EXACT[/i] same shaders because nothing is available to us[/b]... [b]the game was supposed to be make yourself legend, [i]Not [/i]homogenize every character until they all look the exact same...

[b]I understand some loot and the necessity for keeping it RNG based but [i]SHADERS!!![/i][/b]...[b]Shaders are expressions of our personal taste and preference[/b]...there isn't some majical OP shader that needs a nerf nor buff...its a SHADER...and [b]people should be able to dye their armor to their liking[/b]...
[b]Shaders shouldnt be treated like an exotic item [/b]([i]unless they have truly exotic traits such as "Tron" lighted armor, or hive shaded armor with glowing green visor tints, in which case these could be harder to ascertain but should still be ATTAINABLE[/i])[b] and shouldnt be left to RNG[/b] [b]or the [/b]forsaken [b]Cryptarch to hand out[/b] in one of his oh so gracious "care packages" [b]for leveling him up[/b]...
If anyone else is sincerely dissapointed or simply fed up and would like access to more shaders [b]please sign/post here[/b]...

1 ReplyI definitely agree with you, OP. Those exotic shaders would be incredible... and a way to make ships not look like flying turds would be great as well. Just a little side-note: I just got Thunderdevil tonight (after wanting it ever since I saw my friend with it).

Dude, there is endless customization in this game. You can have purple hair! (And like 3 other colors) You can wear the same armor as everyone else because that armor has the most light available on it (but it's YOUR look bc you wear it) I kid, I agree. The lack of shaders is annoying.

Edit: Ha, just got God of War too, from a cryptarch rank reward. They've definitely buffed it because I've never recieved anything before, across 80 ranks.

I have easily around 20 or so shaders. They are available, just random how/if you acquire them.

My idea would be a system where we can use Glimmer/mats/marks and rep. For example:lets say I wanted a certain shader I would go to Eva and she would have a list of all the shaders in the game. But to get the one I wanted I would have to hand her lets say 250000 glimmer, you don't give it her all at once because of course you can't. But you can hand her as much glimmer as you can afford to give her and she keeps adding that to the total till you have the 250000 you need for that shader. Now that's just one example but lets say you wanted one that's more sort after and harder to receive in the game by drops/chests or raids. to buy that one you may need to hand over glimmer/Mats/ and marks to receive it. This idea also gives us something to spend our glimmer on as well as marks and rep we no longer need. And we can still have the shaders dropping in game as normal too. Its something to think about.

I'd also like it if they had made the shaders unlocked at an earlier level for alts, I mean it was a drag seeing my Titan and Warlock in mismatched armor of green pants and orange helmets while i was leveling up.
