why is it so difficult to find people actually willing to help and just have fun with? so what if you wipe a few times, shits n giggles ... and to people saying it's because they don't like wasting time , guess what? you're playing a game! you already are wasting time!
what happened to just playing for fun, why is it being replaced by "i can do it faster" or "i have more kills!"
it's co-op , yet seems many people forgot what co-op is :(
Edit: My faith in online gamers has been restored ! thanks to all the wonderful replies! and hope to see you all online guardians!

For what it is worth... I go out of my way to sparrow over to any fallen guardians whilst out on patrol...in order to revive them. Hope this restores your faith in humanity :)
-
not really. its just that in this game its a pain in the ass to communicate with most of the people you run into.
-
Every now and then I get a fireteam request from low level randoms and I join their game and help them out. We've all been there and needed help so I try to reciprocate when I can. I was lucky enough to get a few people far higher in level than me to help me out when I first started. I've even joined a couple of randoms first quests when doing patrol on cosmodrome just because.

Nope. Im a sunbro through and through even outside of dark souls.

On another note, I'm on the Xbox one And if someone could spot me a checkpoint on Hard at the gorgons, like after the Templar. That would be much appreciated. I'll post back on here when I have some time to help other if they'd like

If I'm around I'd gladly help with what I can Psn Avarag3Gam3 most people just get me in the middle of something and when I ask if it can wait they just ignore me

Edited by Randy Shibai: 10/21/2014 12:11:40 AMIf I'm available I'm down to help. I'll do vog, dailies, weeklies and nightfall if need be. I enjoy assisting and if it makes someone's else's time enjoyable or fulfilling then I'm doing my job. Hell, I'm standing outside of VoG gate waiting to help with sync plates as I type this. OMENGaming.net was built by new players for new players. Granted, we started on another game where helping others was easier, we still retain one goal: making sure that every member is able to milk the value of every dollar spent on this game (or that game).
-
I appreciate someone addressing this, it's a shame not more people feel the same and are too hell bent on bragging and being the next best.
-
Helping others is my favorite part of playing this game.
-
Honestly, helpful people are a dying breed, mainly because people are ungrateful. Do you know how annoying it is to get asked for help, agree to help people, then they go without or kick you because they don't need you anymore? God, if I had a dollar for all those times that happened. Then the fake friends just really lowers your desire to want to help people. Constantly receiving messages from people who add you as a friend just to ask you for help and nothing else. Not getting to know you, not seeing if you could possibly need help, just for their own selfish needs. Why would helpful people want to keep helping people like this? I still help people, perhaps because it's in my nature, but I remove "friends" just as fast as I add them. It's annoying when these things happen, though.

Help my friends or people who randomly invite me in the tower allll the time. That's how it should be, at the end of the day it's just a game.

I am an avid gamer. I love games and hate most of television. If not on WoW, I'll be on Destiny. I have played WoW for 8+ years and understand the value of a helpful community. I am more than willing to help people, though only if they're willing to do the same for others. Xbox1 PanthersHuddle

I help anyone I can. Just the other night I helped some guys with getting through the vault. We were struggling a little to open the door because on of them was level 26 and had no void weapons. Had a nice blueberry wonder through and helped us out. Gave a casual wave as we ventured into the depths of the vault. There are good people out there...they just seem to be becoming few and far between.

Bravo. You're right as far as I'm concerned. I think the developers and gamers are responsible for creating an environment that rewards a more hostile approach. Competition to be number one is valued above all else. I think working 'cooperatively' with a decent group of people would be great! And having folks who really enjoy sharing their skills - the highest praise go out to those!! Whoever out there devoted to help and having fun - I'd give you all a Marvel " No Prize!* *For those old enough to know what one of those is.

Always up to run raids/strikes/crucible just make sure you have a mic or send a message. Psn: Heloraeon I play at odd hours (shift worker) and I'm normally rolling through destiny with a mate so if you don't mind chilling and having a laugh feel free to add me.
