I say it's a very good excuse actually. Bungie created the whole Halo series but didn't create a completely new story each time, each game developed around the same story line. THEN Bungie went full out and created an entirely new experience for players called Destiny.
Borderlands, runs along 2 DIFFERENT stories, in Borderlands 1, and in Borderlands 2. In Borderlands 2 it just involves the previous Vault Hunters in a completely random quest of pointlessness. THEN the Pre-Sequel came out, and by the looks of it, they followed the same ideas, with the same weapons (Not counting the lazer gun) and the same engine, only this time it's on the moon.
I'm on Bungie's side. Gg bro
