If I'm available I'm down to help. I'll do vog, dailies, weeklies and nightfall if need be. I enjoy assisting and if it makes someone's else's time enjoyable or fulfilling then I'm doing my job.
Hell, I'm standing outside of VoG gate waiting to help with sync plates as I type this.

I did this yesterday. Helped a team with the plates and then followed them inside when the spire opened. Found myself all alone with nowhere to go. I promptly jumped into the green abyss. lol
