Nope, it won't even come close to killing Destiny, You need to know the kind of shit Ubisoft likes to pull with their "fans" to see that the division is going to go the same route. i remember when Watch_Dogs was said to be the open world game to end all open world games, amazing graphics! amazing game play! Hacking! we got a graphics downgrade, "push button to hack" hack mechanic, an open world that was more lifeless than a graveyard at midnight and a main character that has the personality of a wet paper bag. and more recently the whole "Locking at 30fps and 900p" Assassin's creed shit. if anything is going to have a chance at killing Destiny it's "Rainbow 6 Siege" but even then..it's still Ubisoft so chances are slim at best.

  • Normally I'd agree with you, but there are a few things that give me hope for Ubisoft. 1. They finally dropped the awful Passport thing that limited online play 2. Far Cry 3. Ghost Recon Online, one of the most fun free-to-play FPS games I've ever played with high quality and emphasis on teamwork, which goes to show they know how to do team-based shooters. Otherwise, yes, they have screwed up quite royally and Watch Dogs is reason enough for me to not pre-order any of their games. In fact, thanks to Destiny as well, I'm completely off the pre-order bandwagon.

Well hopefully they have a story and make some kind of sense. Running around doing the same missions over and over is tiring.

Oh i agree, I'm excited for the division, what i saw blew me away but given Ubi's track record I am totally expecting the frame rate to be locked, resolution to be locked and the graphics to be downgraded (There is speculation that it has actually already received a graphics downgrade) Will it be a good game? probably, will it kill Destiny? not a chance.

  • Ubisoft is publishing divisoon not developing it last i checked. Your right watchdogs was craptastic. And the assassins creed lock was cuz of the advanced ai and amount of npcs on screen....these are not high end pc rigs we are playing on.

Ubisoft both publishes and develops, it has it's publishing and it's own in house development team, for example "Ubisoft Montreal" develop Assassin's Creed games. but Publishers hold all of the cards anyways, Just like Activision and EA, if you supply the money you control the workers.
