What is the point of having:
a cap on glimmer at 25,000
a cap on vanguard marks at 200
a cap on crucible marks at 200
I get the weekly cap of 100 marks but why the overall cap? How does this help the game?
I honestly can't think of a reason for this and I find it quite annoying.

Resource caps are often a means of preventing players from hoarding resources prior to the release of an expansion. Such hoarding would allow the purchase of new expansion content the day it releases. Implementing a cap up front, rather than right before an expansion comes out, is smart. Keeps away the feelin that something was taken away.
