This new generation is very self-entitled. They have grown up/are growing up in a society where things are handed to them. They have been bred with the expectation that things are equal and therefore lack a lot of the qualities of other generations as far as competitiveness and respectfulness. (Not to say this applies to everyone or that they are "worse" or "lower" in any way, they are just different.)
We are studying this in school, it's quite interesting.

a big part of that problem is that nothing in life is equal.....

Exactly. They are removing games like dodge ball and football from schools because some kids are bigger or stronger or faster than others. But what they fail to realize is that the world is a very imperfect place, and these children are going to face a hard reality when they step out into the world on their own - if they ever do. The fact is that competition and rivalry is healthy. There will always be someone smarter or bigger or faster than you but chances are you better at something than them. We are all different and have unique talents and abilities. Trying to make things "equal" is destroying this new generation. They are spoon fed and lack many core characteristics that are crucial to life outside of their parents house.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Edited by Uriyaal: 10/22/2014 2:33:20 PMme too, having someone better then you gives you a reason to strive to be better. also a little black eye and some bruises never hurt anyone (for long) Cant wait to see them join the work force and wonder why there being fired over and over instead of immediately being promoted to manager. *******whisper whisper*********** its a team effort and you start at the bottom and have to work for it!********
