1. Better gunplay
2. Large scale co-op, random run-ins with other players
3. No stupid crappy characters like Tiny Tina or Claptrap or Torgue
4. Better artwork
5. Better music
6. Destiny hasn't been out long but I'm not bored of it. Borderlands games are fun while they last, but they don't last long and once I'm finished with them I never ever go back.
7. There is not a chance that Destiny could have worse DLC than Borderlands. BL has the worst DLC I've ever played.

Whoa its almost like people have different opinions or something. Opinion; Borderlands is a good game, but not a great game.

You shut your mouth! My opinion is the only right one!

1. Arguable at best, two different gunplay styles and frankly I prefer Borderlands because there's far less aim-assist 2. Large scale coop? Borderlands has 4 player coop, Destiny has 3 player coop with ONE 6 player venue. Public events usually have 1-2 people at them at a time. The only time I've ever had a public event with more than 3 people was when the loot cave was still a thing. I almost never run into people on planets and when you're doing a mission you dissappear into a different realm of space and time free of other players. So you're factually wrong, Borderlands has the larger-scale coop between the two. 3. Tiny Tina is regarded by the gaming community at large as absolutely awesome. The fact that you may not like her does not change that. Not to mention at least boderlands HAS interesting characters. Tell me one interesting thing about the speaker. Or the cryptarch (other than he's a douche), or the Traveler, or the Stranger. You can't, because they are about as interesting as a soggy piece of white bread. 4. Different art styles, you're comparing apples and oranges 5. I'll give you that one, Martin O'Donnell and his team did well. 6. When another game comes out I will literally never play Destiny again. It has little to no replay value. Borderlands 2 lets you repeat the campaign four times each time offering you exponentially better loot and tougher enemies, adding insane amounts of replayability. This game has you fighting the exact same story mission for lesser rewards with very little replayability. Borderlands has a longer lifespan and far more content. 7. Borderlands had amazing DLC. Again, you are factually wrong. What is the Destiny DLC going to be? I can already tell you. A few story missions where Dinklebot scans something and you shoot enemies. You'll get another planet where you can do the patrol mission of "Shoot X number of enemies" or "Stand in this arbitrary spot for 30 seconds". You'll get another strike or two which you will promply play to death and get incredibly bored of after the first five playthroughs. That is the extent of your DLC. What were the Borderland DLC's? Brand new stories with hours of gameplay, incredible and powerful loot (which was dropped by bosses like loot should be), new characters (both to meet AND to play as) and tons of new cosmetic options. So you have 1 point in favor of Destiny and that was music.

Edited by rocketFox: 10/21/2014 9:43:23 PMAs for your comments I disagree with everything you said. These are my opinions, as in; I think Destiny has better art than Borderlands. I think Destiny has superior gunplay to Borderlands. And so on. BL DLC is terrible. General Knoxx was good and that's it, all others have been disastrously underwhelming. On the other hand Bungie have always had excellent DLC map packs. But this is fine, you obviously prefer BL over Destiny. I think the other way around. Borderlands was fun for a bit, and then its straight into the box of games I'll never play again.
