Gamer tag meanings

Hello all, I was playing with a few DoDs last might and Half_baked told me the meaning of his and it got me to thinking whats the meaning of others. Rattlenut was a name a good friend called me when i was being proper dense. If i shook my head he'd say he could hear my tiny tiny brain rattle around. If anyone else is up for sharing would love to here some. Cheers

  • My parents used to call me Wombat (for reasons unknown, I reckon it was to they didn't swear instead) whenever I'd been amusingly naughty, so my online presence has always been a wombat since the internet became a thing - all the college tutors told us we should never use our real names. Fast forward to PSN era and Wombat was taken, so his Mexican counterpart elwombat was born!

    • I played Eve Online as Watcher Fleyne which is an anagram of my real name. Since the full name is a bit of a mouthfull for a gamertag I shortened it to WatcherF (Or Watcher-F on psn). Er...that's it.

    • During my 11 year tenure in the RAF i was known as Spud due to my apparent resemblance to the character of the same name in the film trainspotting. 118 was simply the last 3 of my service number.

    • Mine belonged to my missus. Her name begins with T and also she drinks a lot of tea so she became known as the tea lady. So this is really her account that she set up to let the kids play stuff many many years ago. As we bought more stuff we put it on this account so now I'm kinda stuck with it. Didn't seem such a bad idea back then as on-line gaming barely existed. Now we wish we could change it as we regularly get friend requests from teenage boys who think their luck is in! If only they knew I'm a 43 year old 6 foot bloke built like the proverbial brick...lol

      • Mine comes from my school days...Me & bunch of friends were really into the movie "Top Gun". So we all had nicknames from the characters pilot call signs e.g. "Maverick", "Viper", "Goose" etc. Mine was "Ice-Man" and it kinda stuck.... Couldn't have just "Ice-Man" though as there were quite a few already on the PSN, I added 38 as that was my age at the time I joined the PSN. Funny thing is though I was playing Call of Duty multiplayer a few years back and a guy on my team asked if I was named after a serial killer? "Of course not I replied, why would I be?". "Did you know there was a serial killer called the Iceman" he said. I didn't but a checked it out and he was right, there is. So now I just tell people online when i'm asked "yeah i'm named after a serial killer" and listen for the completely quiet mic's for about 10 seconds lol
