[b]*Disclaimer - I apologize in advance if this sounds like I'm spoiled, selfish or gloating. I truly am not and I'm truly frustrated. [/b] [b]tl;dr;[/b] - I've completed the VoG 19 times and keep getting weapon drops (multiples of the same weapon and sometimes in the same Raid) and I still can't get a set of gear to get to Level 30. I can't get the Gauntlet's on Normal or Hard!!! So let me start with I've [i]completed the Raid 19 times[/i] since its launch. I started with my Hunter, and a Warlock (which I have since deleted). I spent 97% of my time with my Hunter, as I work a 9-5 M-F, so I don't have much time to try and run different classes, so I made a 2nd Hunter instead of a Titan. Yesterday the Raid refreshed and was able to run the Raid twice with my 2 Hunter's as I deleted the Warlock after getting the Trophy for maxing a sub-class to focus on my personal favorite character, the Hunter (I'm 98% PvE player). My 3rd Hunter is currently Level 12, so I won't be able to run the Raid until this weekend for my 3rd time this week. So what am I getting at? I have played 19 times, 10 on Normal and 9 on Hard and I have received every weapon in the Raid aside "Praetorian Foil" a solar fusion rifle. Having said that, I'm still level 29, I never receive gear as rewards only weapons to the point of which some guns I have more than there are characters in the game, meaning 3+. For the first time last night I actually got a double of a chest piece "Prime Zealot Cuirass" which I was disappointed it wasn't the gauntlet's I need, but I was actually also happy that it wasn't a WEAPON! In short, I know it's all random and I have friends that get tons of gear and not that many weapons and then I have friends who can just get everything for every character. To give you a great example of my frustration, here is what I received with my play time yesterday which included 2 Daily's, 2 Nightfall's and 2 Raids. Yesterday, which is by far and away the greatest loot day I've ever had, maybe in the top 100 of drops out of everyone who's played in the 5-6 hour time period I did. I received as follows: [b]Monte Carlo[/b] (Nightfall), [b]Purifier VII[/b] (Nightfall, Leg. Void Fusion Rifle), [b]Gjallarhorn[/b] (Raid, Chest), [b]Hard Light[/b] (Raid, Chest), [b]Hezen Vengeance[/b] (Raid Rocket Launcher, actually got 2 of these yesterday) and last which is by far my favorite but the problem is it was my 6th[b] Vex Mythoclast[/b]. I know I should be ecstatic, I was mad at myself for not buying the Gjallarhorn as it's by far the best Heavy Weapon and is great in the Raid, I've wanted the Monte Carlo since I first saw it before release, the Hard Light seemed pretty cool and a Void Fusion Rifle to help with the pesky Minotaur's and Praetorian's, but I just can't help this empty feeling of having worked so hard and to be caped out at Level 29. I'm sure after reading this their isn't going to be much or any sympathy (I'm not looking for that), if anything I'm sure most of you will probably hate this post, but I promise you this is not my intention. I just want to be that ever elusive Level 30 and NO it will not stop me from playing! I still really enjoy the game, even with it being a bit repetitive at the moment I still enjoy Destiny very much! Well for those who've read and can understand my frustration, wish me luck this weekend, as I will have 1 more shot at getting the Gauntlet's for my Hunter and if not I guess there's always next week :)
