I'm a male & I play as a male as I am more comfortable in doing so. I do think however that the Hunter looks better as a female due to the slimmer physique. I really wish you could actually modify the build of your character as I would like to play as a shorter thinner male Hunter.

I would play a girl character if i knew the hit boxes were different.

This. My hunter is female. In Diablo 3 my demon hunter and wizard are female. All others are male. They just look better.
