Why? Surely your vault runs would have been easier/more productive if you could have bought the gun a few weeks back and used it there. I don't understand the mentality here...

  • Mentality is that when we work so hard to find a gun then only to be sold a few weeks later is a little disappointing. I hope this help.

  • Earning enough strange coins isn't work? You'd rather the chances of getting something be 100% random? I'm still not understanding what you define as "work". I work my ass off for coins, simply so I can buy what Xûr has, if it suits my preferred class/subclass and play style - for example, I skipped the Saint-14 helm a week or two back, because I prefer to play striker. Saved the coins and bought the Helm of inmost Light the following week, along with the icebreaker. I'm infinitely more of an asset to my fireteam and raid groups as a result. I got the Monte Carlo, Alpha Lupi, Red Death and Suros from random drops and leveling up the cryptarch. If another member of my squad were to purchase any of those, I'd be happy that my team were now better equipped. I think what you really mean to say with this post, is that you no longer feel special, if other people have access to the same gear as you. Despite the chances of you getting said gear, were completely and utterly random in the first place (ergo; not 'earned').

  • Agreed. Maybe he might sell the Monte Carlo ( even though it's an exclusive ) that might make you happy? No? That way the people that have worked hard to get coins will be able to purchase it to.

  • Why would I care if someone else had a Monte Carlo? It's just an in-game asset. I think you're projecting far too much value on your exotics, they exist to make you better equipped for certain encounters. That's it. Who cares if someone else has the same benefit? Seems like a really warped, and entirely petty line of thinking to begrudge other players items that you were gifted by chance. I think you just need to be honest here, you want all the best toys, and you're upset that someone else might get to play with them.

That's the problem these days bro, the majority of this forum have a warped sense of entitlement, and it's absolutely swamped with egomaniacs. They just want to stand there and feel superior to their fellow player. It's sad. Really sad. I mean really, who cares if the guy next to me has the same weapon? Who cares how he got it? All that really matters is that he actually has it, and it's making him more of an asset. Kids here really need to grow up, and get a grip on reality. :)
