I've Chosen Not To Purchase Suros Twice, AMA. What About You?
So the Suros Regime is in practically everyone's hands, the crucible are now belong to Suros. How does a guardian survive without the most noob friendly gun in the game? AMA
Passed twice on the Suros Regime, an AR that shoots sort of like an automatic hand cannon with no recoil. I've decided to avoid buying it twice, I still do fine in the crucible. AMA
Suros Regime might be for you if the following apply:
A) You can't control recoil and suck at FPS games.
B) You have to be on top of the score chart in the crucible with minimal effort.
C) You suck at using other weapons: hand cannons, scout rifles, pulse rifles, auto rifles with recoil.
D) You suck at using real auto rifles.
E) Probably all of the above.

I don't really mind everyone having the suros in pvp cause it's no different then COD, when every single person is using the same sub-machine gun, with the same perks and attachments. It's just the best gun to use for most people. It doesn't break pvp it just makes it kinda boring. Personally I use Atheon's epilogue

You do fine in the crucible because the suros is not the best gun in the crucible. It's a great weapon in pve, dominates for sure. It's decent in pvp, many other auto rifles deal more damage than it though. It does indeed have minimal recoil which does make it pretty much the best AR for longer engagements, but you can easily just avoid those situations. I have a suros, since the first time xur sold it. I use it now and then in the crucible, but I prefer my grim citizen 3 as I can win more battles with it and use it almost all of the time. So none of your multiple choice answers actually do any justice to the is topic. I have suros, choose not to use it in the crucible because... because I do better with legendary auto rifles. I have heard of people who do not upgrade it to have the slow fire rate, claiming it performs much better this way in the crucible. I almost bought another one to test that theory but decided against it, deciding it would be too weak with just barrel attachments. But who knows.

I passed on it the first time it came around. since then I've made two more warlocks and through just switching gear alone lets me get 27 coins each week effortlessly - at minimum as it depends on the nightfall rewards of course. so this time, although not interested in the gun because I love handcannons, I bought it cuz why not? And an engram, and a chest - both of which were promptly dismantled to lvl up my helmet with shards. Lol

I don't like to use weapon at all, because any kind of guns is for chumps. Honestly I just avoid my opponents all game and hit them with my super when it's ready, that's how real gamers play this game. Also if you don't have a tiny dick it means you're a noob x1000, it's true I researched that value myself because I'm awesome and you're not.

I would argue that any shotgun is more noob friendly than the suros.

But wait, I use The Last Word, Shadow Price, Hard Light, Visions of Confluence, Suros, and once they buff bad juju, I've got pulse rifles covered. I'm still good with any weapon I use, as the Suros does not dictate how good I am. My skill, tactics, experience, and adaptability allow me to overcome obstacles. None of those choices apply to me, and it sounds like you're trying to put those users down to feel proud. Proud of what? Yourself? Good job. No one is going to give you a medal for it.

I've passed on it twice , i was going to get it this time but the raid was kind enough to reward with me Atheons Epilogue and that gun is epic fun :) , i also have Grim CitizenIII and Shadow Price so i'm covered for good auto rifles .

4 RepliesIf you want a weapon that challenges you then pick Suros, I think it's the only exotic gun in this game that has a nerf for an upgrade.
