Right, I like Destiny, I do, but I just had the WORST game time in my LIFE.
Couldn't beat Weekly on level 26 cause I was playing like utter cräp.
Couldn't do THE DAILY.
THE DAILY.
DAILY. LIKE WTF.
How shit could I be today?
So do the crucible. Don't do bad, 2nd best on team I think. Won. But still pissed about the single player stuff.
I CANNOT PROGRESS IN THIS GAME.
I can't, I'm done.
I haven't gotten 1 legendary engram since the game came out. Not. One.
Therefore I'm stuck on rare shite for weapons and I cbf to level up Dead Orbit to level 3 to get the weapons so I'm at a point where weekly strikes are a tad more difficult than they should be for me. If I don't get a legendary engram before all the games come out in November I'm done with Destiny.
Yes this is a tantrum.
Yes I'm still in a rage because I stopped playing 5 minutes ago.
Ffs ONE. ONE LEGENDARY ENGRAM. THATS IT. ONE. ILL SHUT UP. I JUST WANT A LEGENDARY PRIMARY OR EVEN SECONDARY.
has anyone else had this problem or am I just extremely unlucky???
Edit: thanks for the feedback guys, it's now clear that I shouldn't of gone straight to the factions ( but I wanted the Dead Orbit Black armour, that's my excuse).
I would also like to add that I do ALOT of bounties. Mainly Crucible but I think is clear that thanks to the feedback from you guys I need to focus a bit more on Vanguard stuff.
(Also, I hand I loads of bounties (four to five at a time and have never gotten an Exotic bounty)
Edit 2: so yeah I've calmed down, this was pure rage and I won't quit Destiny or anything (but Assassins Creed Unity is looking rather sexy). But yeah. It's all good now I've calmed down its just, I'm not bad at Destiny so when I do do shit I feel REALLY REALLY shit
-
Don't know why you shouldn't go to dead orbit first. I got dead orbit to level 2 over 2 weeks and then used the 200 marks to fully kit out my character. Week 3 replaced queens helm. Switched to vanguard got that to rank 3. Then got new monarchy to rank 1 and now I'm getting orbit to rank 3.
-
Level 26 is where most people get stuck and quit... Have fun being another statistic
-
your legendary bounty will come. It took me forever to get my first one two weeks ago and now I'm working on my third one the seem to show up a lot once you get one. As for the rage, dude your talking to a forum full of people who know all too well what nerd rage is, you'll calm down and be alright, don't let this be the reason you quit.
-
"Hurr durr the game will get better hurr durr"
-
trust me, your rage will continue. Once you do get a drop, it won't be as good as what you already have or it will just be on the low end of the spectrum and likely something you don't use. But it's probably most likely to be a class item which doesn't do anything for you. Good luck.
-
Yeah I never bothered with any of the factions and just stuck with the vanguards, doing bounties, patrols, farming materials for marks etc and got most of my gear that way instead of from Reward Not Guaranteed drops and prizes. I think people waste soo much time in the hope of getting stuff via RNG instead of getting out there and just ranking up, grinding marks and buying the stuff. If I had held out for RNG shit, I'd still have mostly rare stuff and no exotics.
-
I've gotten 2 purple engrams since i started playing it gets better look at my warlock
-
To your edit. I went to straight to factions as soon as I got to 20 and had all my armor within 2 weeks (got an exotic helm from Xur soon after getting my gloves and chest). Why people are against going to factions first I just don't understand.
-
So, use crucible or vanguard marks to buy a legendary from the vendor and quit bitching. There ARE other ways to get a legendary besides waiting on a drop. If you're that hard up, just buy one o_O Put in work with a faction, for the marks. Don't be dissuaded to play the game because you want an easy way out lol. We all get -blam!-ed by the RNG, it's just how it is lol.
-
Been having a pretty bad day myself as well. In and out of game. But keeping it to in-game only: -Died 6 times doing the Daily because the Dregs and vandals meleed me faster than I did -Had to redo the Nightfall 5 times because a Knight gave me a jumpscare with his freakin sword, a Wizard blew me out of the way where I was gliding and an explosive Thrall jumped right on my head -Some random person thought it would be a good idea to go idle during a Public Event for which I was now forced to solo it, which caused one Vex to slip through and give "us" a Silver rating -The Nightfall merely gave me a Legendary Shotgun. The Hide and Seak with Arc Damage.
-
Dude...chill. Use your marks and by faction, crucible, or vanguard gear. Done!
-
I solo the weekly on 28 every week...
-
Yous seem upset
-
Why are you trying to solo the Weekly Strikes...? Especially the Summoning Pits? Those wizards in the third wave are brutal. I barely soloed it as a 27 when it was set at 22 (yes, I know, somewhere someone is saying, "lol itz not hard git gud scrub," but they are liars or savants or something). Tiger Strike playlist, amigo! 6 vanguard marks plus rep! Plus engrams! Buy your legendaries! People obsess over their drop rate, and I get it, it's exciting. But Bungie specifically designed ways of getting around RNG by giving you the tools to buy the gear you want, whether that be Vanguard/Crucible vendors or (gasp!) Xur. It takes a little time but it's a reliable goal to work towards. Anything else that drops on the way is gravy. Deep breaths. Good luck. See you starside.
-
The key here is never choose a faction until crucible and vanguard are at least level 2 preferably 3 since at 3 they give you a legendary package at the post office. Then buy your armor from the crucible and vanguard reps. Only then should you start working on a faction. Factions will slow your progress to nothing.
-
People need to rank up vangaurd or crucible or both, before wasting time on a faction.
-
Look how long it took me to be where am at. It's time, you have to literally give your life to Destiny if you want to progress.

Edited by tre11style: 10/24/2014 6:52:31 PMSteezy, I'm sorry you are sooo frustrated. Let me try to help you out. Please don't take offense to this, but if you don't have any legendary guns and gear already , you are playing this game TOTALLY wrong. You shouldn't be depending on IF you get lucky for drops. Think of it like.. you are walking in the street and you happen to come across a $20 lying there. If so GREAT... SWEET!. But you shouldn't be walking in the street looking for a $20 and if you don't see one get all upset. Please go to the bounty guide, and get yourselves bounties.. and do those as much as you can each day. Get your level in Vanguard up and you can buy your gear, instead of hoping to get drops. Or.. join a faction and do the same thing... Join Dead Orbit, or New Monarchy, or FWC in the tower. Once you get to level 3 in either of these factions or Vanguard rank, you can buy all the purps you need. Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, let me know. PS... I haven't had ONE, not ONE legendary I own be from an engram drop. So i'm right there with you. I have ha dto work for what I have, and either gotten it directly dropped from a Raid, Queens gear, or Strike drop.
-
Well at least you are level 26 I've been stuck on level 24 for over 2 weeks!!!
-
I feel your pain... trust me. Since the 'fix' I believe I've gotten one... MAYBE two engrams. That's with Tiger strikes, weekly/daily missions, bounties, raids, etc... I also did a dry run of my Extra Life marathon... so 24 hours of gameplay. I see a blue emblem here and there... but even that's maybe one per bounty/mission. They may have fixed the emblems per say, but they made it so the drop rate fit the chance of Cryptarch giving you something decent.
-
Upgrade your armor, get to level 27 and breathe.
-
I got a shadow price from a blue yesterday
-
Just a question, but have you tried doing the strike playlists? They reward engrams after each strike and can give legendaries either in the strike itself or for a reward.
-
You should have enough vanguard marks to buy from your vanguard armor dealer by now, right? You can hit 29 with that stuff
-
Edited by Saboteur-6: 10/24/2014 6:51:13 PMEDIT: You're decked fine for your Armor. If you're going for a Faction weapon make sure you're running both PvE and PvP bounties and keep in mind Factions use Crucible Marks as currency. You can also find a loot cave. Just work on ranking up factions via your bounties. Rep is the slowest thing to earn.
-
*gives you a legendary engram, makes sure it's for a class item, makes sure it decrypts into a class item for a different class, awaits your bitching because apparently this game is to hard for you*
