Voidfang worth getting?
I got Heart of the praxic (chest piece for sunsinger) yesterday from nightfall and today xur has Voidfang (chest piece for voidwalker) I switch between sunsinger and voidwalker but I already have light beyond nemesis and apotheosis Veil for voidwalker. So would it be a good investment for voidwalker or should I just stick with the helmets?

3 RepliesEdited by NeoZephyr: 10/24/2014 7:07:29 PMIt's the best exotic for Voidwalker crucible. There are better exotic options for Sunsinger PVP and PVE, as well as Voidwalker PVE, but ya. I always use it when I play crucible. Makes the nades so deadly, and it's nice having one ready after every time you die. My main is a warlock, I have the last word, and I love crucible, so I'm kinda in love with it.

I always use the Voidfang in crucible. Love having the extra axiom bolt to get people around corners.

I like the voidfang for my sunsinger cus I spawn with 2 grenades but it's really all personal preference and what suits your play style

I have both, prefer apoth veil. I like vortex 'nade more than axion bolt, and the other perks for voidfang are meh. And the full face lens looks sweet.

Edited by they call me RED: 10/24/2014 7:17:10 PMI was gonna buy an exotic chest no matter what Xûr would sell this week, because I need one to get to 30, since I couldn't get the raid chest. I main Sunsinger, and as someone who loves Fusion grenades, I love this chest because I will get 2 more every single time I die! The hand cannon reload speed is a bonus, because I have a maxed out Thorn and love to use it. I don't use Axion Bolt as Voidwalker, but if the extra bolt makes the whole grenade do more damage than I have a reason to use Voidwalker again

Considering you may not get all raid gear at one time, it's good to get different exotic gear to mix and match. I have sunbreakers, light beyond nemesis, and void fang.

My alt character is a 27 warlock. I use a maxed out voidfang. I find it to be very good for both subclasses. Spawning with grenade energy is very helpful for both classes. As a sunsinger, you can spawn with 2 grenades which is great for crucible or a fresh revive. As a voidwalker, the enhanced axion bolt is also very helpful. I do not own the heart of the praxic fire. To me, I'm nor sure how useful the increased cooldowns would be because I only use radiance for when I go down, and after the revive I usually just run and try not to die again rather than spamming grenades. Heart of praxic fire is only helpful for sunsingers. In the end, I would say get both and max them. They are both great chest pieces
