I'm curious because I personally don't see the point in k/d. Never have. When I play a game it's to win. Not to run around and forget everyone else but to cap objectives, put damage on a boss, assist wherever I'm needed. Kills are great and fun, but telling someone they aren't "good" at a game because their play style isn't dictated on straight kills? Lol to that sir. I play to have fun and screw around and just enjoy every aspect of a game, from the visuals, to the mechanics, from the rpg aspect to the first person shooter. Stop telling people how bad they are and accept the fact that everyone plays differently than you and you can't do anything about it.
Cheers mates! Have fun, that's all!

When you grew up playing doom and quake in tournaments with teams you realize k/d ratio meant nothing especially when people prevented others from getting the bfg, and that was their sole job.

Edited by PurpGreen: 12/22/2014 6:13:37 PMK/d doesnt matter. Score does. Ew i just realized this is an old post. Goddamn bumpers dont read the fckin date. I see "latest" and i assume it is recent -_- i blame VexPortalGlitch. Dumbass

PVP Best connection to the server. Sure ability plays out in different scenarios, but best connection with mediocre ability will always be highest k/d able players. PvE It only shows if someone is playing the game or not. They could be just trying to see how creative of new ways they can find to die for all anyone else knows. Either that or they just LEROY JENKINS it way too much.

It shows who cares about K/D
-
Stats are easy to pad, they mean little. I rate players by how they act.
-
K/D doesn't matter one bit. In I barely play crucible for anything besides bounties. If I have the melee bounty or kills from the grave I will literally just run at any enemy I see and punch them to death hoping to kill them with a nade of my kill to register after I am dead. That being said I can and have finished the thorn PVP bounty in just 6 games using only a final rest and zombie apoc... I am not close to being bad at crucible, bounties have just messed my results up enough that I really don't care about it.

Edited by Taskforcem85: 12/22/2014 6:13:34 PMIt builds onto the good/bad. I also look at score to determine. You can have a 4.0 k/d and only an average 2k. This still means you're bad. To be at an acceptable/average level I'd say you need around a 3.5k-4k average, and a 1.0 K/D

k/d is a skill indicator, but not the end all. I would rather have a guy on my team with great communication than a great k/d. However, if you are a great communicator and you go 0-20, we have a problem.
-
Eh, it doesn't hugely matter to me. I'd say I'm probably an adequate player. I do have off games where I'm below a 1 k/d, but I also have games where I can land above a 3 easily.
-
Mine is just how good I did that match, not really a player judging material unless they have a constant KD
-
K/D= Kant die
In pvp it does show skill to some extent, this can be exploited however. In pve it really doesnt matter that much.
-
I think i do pretty good at PvP/ PvE. Top 1% in a lot of things, but my k\d isnt anything special.
-
I don't care because everyone has good and bad streaks. If you are judging by those, it really isn't fair to them.

I don't play to win in PVP but your KDR and WLR are the best indicators for how well you do. An accurate measurement of how skilled a player is takes a lot more variables however. Anybody can win but that doesn't make you good.
