To the must have enough time comment. Umm how many people can devote several hors to one grind? I have a job and a family that's just not going to happen for ALOT of people. Communicating that to the team leader totally do able even for non mike users. And the raid does checkpoint for up to a week for this exact reason. Calling for a complete run thru would obviously leave a lot of non hard core gamers from never touching this content which would be a huge loss because it's a lot of fun.
To the no mike comment, how can I put this lightly. Not everyone can afford a headset at launch, I personally had not used one in years and had to reinvest in a used one several weeks into the games release. I normal mode it is very easy for one or two experienced players to direct each boss battle and puzzle with either example or with the gesture system. In my teams wave is a count down to be in position and point is used to direct everyone to focus on the boss as it's shield is about to go down.
So while I respect your disappointment in some players not meeting your standards remember this game was designed to be more inclusive to many kinds of gamers on all the game types held within Destiny, raids included

Raids really are not supposed to be this casualised... 45 min to an hour is easy mode. Also the I have this, I do that excuse is tiresome. Go look up d.o.d. then try to fake excuses.

Yes he makes small valid points. Communication is not a necessity on normal but not having a microphone is no excuse.

While you make good points, the OP's points are valid more often then not. The raid with even 3 or 4 people who have never done it can easily be run in 2 or less hours. The idea is that most people wanna get it done in one run, while others don't have that time. If you don't have that, maybe post on the forums somewhere that you're forming a group that'll do it over a few days to find like minded people? As for the mic part, there is next to no excuse for not having one, since almost every console has a mic that comes with it. Given, in some cases someone won't have it, and it's not a problem for some, I personally find it much easier to call things out (they can set it up to hear my voice through their speakers if needed). The waving, while effective, requires extra actions that shouldn't really be needed. Not everyone has to talk, I have a regular in my group who says nothing, but listens the entire time and performs near flawlessly. My point is, there are some cases where you are right, but with most groups that are mostly randoms, the OP's rules are definitely required.

1) when you purchased an mmo you should have already knew it's takes time and devotion to get anywhere in an mmo. 2) headsets come free with the purchase of a console and if you don't have one I'm sure you could pony up 15 dollors of your paycheck to get a generic microphone for your console.
