Although this is a but much I do agree that the shoulder charge is op. It's an ability the titan has over BOTH of the 2 other classes. It's a free 1 hit kill every few seconds AND they still have their melee ability.

  • Yes. They still have their melee ability. Literally the most useless melee ability in the game with no useful effects, the shortest range and the most hits to kill. More like, they need to waste a skill column to make their melee even slightly useful, at which point they lose their damage resistance when using Fists of Havok and are still outgunned by Shotguns. But don't worry, they still have... uh, wait. Strikers don't get anything beyond Unstoppable, Shoulder Charge and Juggernaught, ALL OF WHICH ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. You literally get ONE decent ability, all of which have little potential against any player with a functioning brain and that's it. Strikers can enjoy their thrice a game single panic kills and their "people think this is OP when a Shotgun is better 99% of the time" Shoulder Charge.

  • You're drunk if you think fist of havoc is outgunned by shotguns. A titan is nearly invincible when they are using that ability...

Sorry, poor wording.

    Hunters can plant grenades in a doorway for you to walk over. And warlocks can melee from about 10 feet away that does dot.. To me those kinda things seem on par.. Especially considering when a Titan runs at you, JUMP. Not too hard to avoid unless it is times perfectly around a corner which is rare

  • Again this is a terrible comparison. You are talking about hunter grenades. That's doesn't work. Both titan and hunter have grenades. Also with warlock you are talking about melee. Both have melee but still titan has the extra shoulder charge. You guys are missing the point here. I'm saying the titans have an extra ability over any other class that can one shot people.

  • I just think you have never played as a Titan, but yet you get killed by shoulder charge sometimes, therefore it must be op. It's an easy to counter move, and if compared it to the passives grated to other classes it that spot (so a direct comparison) you lose out on potentially better passives for a skill that sometimes get you a ko but it EASY TO DEFEND AGAINST. Unless the person killing you with it is dramatically better than you, he should only be able to get you once or twice by surprise at most. If it's more than that.. It's you not the titan bro

While yes you can get a better understanding from playing the class, it isn't required.   • Shoulder Charge is a very risky manuever. Its pretty tough to set up correctly. Especially when the action is frantic.Usually a Shoulder Charge is ended with the Titan dying. If your able to get at someones back or someone just posting up sniping.. Then it works good.

    Except I have played all 6 subtypes in the crucible. My friend and I share accounts to help each other out when one is busy and can't do daily/bounties etc. But that is irrelevant. I have played against Titans just as much as anyone else, and I am telling you it is not hard to avoid. I'll even give you tips if you really want, if you are getting killed with it half a dozen times per game than you need to adjust your play style to accommodate instead of just crying op. You don't need to have played as a titan to know that when a guy is running strait at you, either move out of the way or pull out the shotgun. Shotgun beats shoulder charge every time. Or it should if you have decent timing. Edit: not arrogant, I am decent at pvp, not great. Just being honest.

  • Not arrogant LOL. This post screams arrogance. "I'll even give you tips" First of all, I'm not crying op. I'm simply trying to have a discussion about my beliefs. I'm not saying this should be nerfed into the ground because I said so, I just wanted to talk to the community about where I stand on the ability. Personally I think the problem goes deeper than the titan. I believe in games where gun skill actually matters and in this game that is pretty much irrelevant with all of the 1 shot kill abilities/guns in the game. Just because someone wants to discuss something, it does not mean they are crying. Crying is what the guy did who originally posted this thread.

    Its not a free one hit kill every few seconds. Have you ever used it? It takes 3 seconds to charge after sprinting, only last 4-5 seconds, and can only be used once per sprint. Its very situational. You cant turn corners with speed at all, so unless theyre straight ahead of you within those few seconds your shoulder charge is ready, its worthless. And we have shoulder charge over the other two classes because were the only class without blink.

  • You can turn corners as fast as you have your sensitivity up to man. Use it with it set to 10 and you'll see the potential for mobility. I have mine at 5 and still have great cornering!

  • Blink is not even close to a comparison to the shoulder charge. Even still a 1 hit kill every 5 seconds say. That's still ridiculous. Blink doesn't kill people and honestly hurts more than it helps. And ik you're gonna say "oh blink is amazing you just suck with it" but that's irrelevant to the comparison.

    No im not gonna say you suck with it. Ive heard its helpful situationally. Which is like the shoulder charge. I see you havent tried titan yet, you should try it before you say its op cause it really isnt. It also blurs almost your entire screen when its charged so you cant see shit lol.

  • I've been trying to get around to using the titan but I've been so focused on trying to get my warlock to 30 I haven't gotten around to it. Honestly I really do hate knocking things that I haven't tried but I've looked at the classes as a whole and I just don't see what you can compare the shoulder charge to with other classes. Maybe I'm missing something.

    Well i mean, the warlocks melee has a 20 feet range which can light you on fire, or drain your health and give it back to said warlock. The hunter has a throwing knife which can one hit kill as well. Theyre all situationally good at times, and bad at others. Honestly man, when you try shoulder charge youll change your mind. Everyone that says its op hasnt tried it. All of my friends thought it was op too, once they tried it they changed their tune.

  • The warlock comparison is irrelevant. Again you are comparing a melee with a non-melee ability. I do like the hunter comparison with the throwing knife though. What would the warlock have that's extra from their melee or grenade? I can't find it and I have 5 days logged into a warlock. That's the point I'm trying to make.
