My only beef with Titans is when I'm flying 50 feet up in the air and FoH still somehow kills me from down on the ground. Seriously, Nova Bomb doesn't even have that kind of range plus it's easier to kill a Lock mid Nova.

It is not easier to kill a warlock mid bomb than a Titan mid FoH. Most titans don't have death from above equipped which means you go 200 mph at the ground while aiming. If you don't have DFA equipped and you are at the peak of lift, you go 5 mph toward the ground which gives the enemy plenty of time to kill you or run away.

you do know titans can only take damage when going up during foh when they start going in a downward motion all damage reduction kicks in and its literally impossible to kill them. They can survive multiple hits from blade dancer and multiple shots from golden gun. With its instant activation and killing power its the strongest super in the game allowing it to counter everything in the game with ease.

Edited by Entrau: 10/27/2014 2:11:48 AMIf they have that perk picked that makes them harder to kill while using FoH.
-
it has enough damage reduction on its own to survive the strongest of attacks pvp wise such as a golden gun shot will not one shot a titan in fist of havoc it will just hit them and do nothing.
-
That's the same with blade dancer, FoH just barely gets them and try are almost like a sunsinger they can take multiple hits from fusion rifles and shotguns.
-
blade dancer doesn't get any damage reduction to anything but primary's and specials. A fusion rifle can still one shot , a shotgun head shot is still a one shot, machine guns still kill at the same speed, rockets still kill in one shot, melee still kills to two strikes, Sunsinger super grenades and melee still kill in one hit, FoH still kills in one hit, Snipers still kill with one head shot, i can go on and on about how blade dancer does not get anywhere near not even in the same galaxy as what titan and warlock get damage reduction wise in super. Fist of havoc just plain and simple counters everything in the game there isnt a single thing in this game that can stop a titan using foh. And no i dont mean before activation when a titan dies before foh can start a downward motion. I mean when its in motion and even then if a titan dies before it goes off they still keep there super and can try again on re spawn.

Thanks for the info, I needed a good burning.

I could say almost the same thing about Arc Blade users.
-
It's almost certainly latency and lag causing this. You're actually dead before you jump, the game just hasn't told you yet.
-
This could solve many of the times, but I've also been floating across a map and someone got FoH far below me and I got hit with it high in the air. And I was really up there. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe FoH doesn't have a ceiling. All I know is that one time was crazy because of how far I was above it and I hadn't been on the ground for quite some time.

Nova bomb does have that range

Edited by AlmostUseful: 10/26/2014 8:42:24 PMI play PvP as both a Warlock and Hunter. So, I've used and had it used against me. I've been able to jump above Nova Bomb successfully on numerous occasions. I've never been able to jump above a FoH. Only reason for that would be FoH hits higher than Nova. Now, on the flip side, with certain skills Nova has a MUCH larger AoE.
-
I have been nova bombed out of the sky on numerous occasions and have also had numerous people leap away from my foh so both your points are I am afraid wrong.
-
Edited by AlmostUseful: 10/27/2014 12:07:01 AMMaybe they weren't above your FoH, and maybe you weren't that high up from the Nova Bomb. My point is, I've been above a Nova bomb and survived. I've never been above a FoH and survived. That doesn't make me wrong, doesn't make me right either. Let me just clarify for you since you seem to think (and maybe others) that what I'm saying I'm saying with 100% certainty. I'm just stating my experience with both supers and comparing them. Both have their pros and cons, and many similarities.

Edited by cojak121: 10/26/2014 11:42:47 PMIf nova bomb has a larger aoe with those skills would that mean it could reach higher up than the foh? Aoe is a sphere, if your's reaches further in the x plane it should expand equally as far in the y plane.
-
Not necessarily. Nova with its increased AoE does reach higher, but it feels like FoH doesn't have a roof. It's just a beam of -blam!- your life from ground to sky. That's just my experience. Nova with Shatter and annihilate can cover more ground but FoH can shut down a whole area from ground to sky.
-
If it is a beam of light to the sky, then the devs should change it. I'm more inclined to believe that the lag is tricking you
-
I have to agree. I have had Nova bombs not kill me, but I have triple jumped away from a Titan right before he started his animation and still been killed. And have tried to jump up to no avail.
