Was the buff announcement official? I keep hearing about it from a friend of a friend, but have never seen something from Bungie saying it would get buffed

It was in the 3rd weekly update if im not mistaken. But yeah it was official. Or as official as deej gets, maybe it was wishful thinking on his part.
