It was easy, yet they messed it up and now need to re-buff it slightly for pve... I'd rather keep my Thorn as it is than having it buffed, then nerfed.

The true reasoning is the way they prioritize patches. When a lot of people complain for example, like about auto rifles are OP. It tends to carry more weight because its ruining the experience/causing more players to leave Destiny compared to the few that complain about a weapon being too weak. Instead players just avoid the weapon. That and Bungie is not great anymore...welll at least with Activision around.
