I have not found any discussions or comments regarding the human built space ships visible everywhere in Old Russia. Why the heck are there three spheres at the top of them?! As an engineer, and great space and technology enthusiast, I cannot figure out how that would work aerodynamically or structurally with such large and heavy objects at the very tip of the space launcher/rocket?
If you don't know what I'm referring too, please see this image:

Or this one:

Or the fact that they greatly resemble the Traveler?! I'm still stopping in Old Russia to just look at them trying to figure out the reason behind their design and function.
Edit:
Ah, 50 replies :) I thought there would be some interest and discussion on this topic! Thank you for chiming in. Would've been great if one of the game designers would share a hint or logic behind the design of these space launchers.
Edit 2: Does anyone have access to fluid dynamics or aerodynamics simulation software? Simulating those three spheres on a simple space launch body would provide insight into how it would behave.

The space shuttle was retired a few years ago and this game is supposed to be hundreds of years in the future. And on that note, we're so far in the future in the game but there's like rusted 1950s looking cars everywhere and the computers look like the same ones they played PONG on back in the day. Stylistically, it gives that whole 2001 A Space Odyssey theme to it. Technically I don't think the shape matters, aerodynamics mean nothing in space since there is no air.
