Any game with a loot system you roll the dice with regard to loot. I don't know why people suddenly think great gear should be handed out. It's a part of the game. You won't always get something nice. I remember in WoW I went MONTHS and NEVER saw the offhand sword drop for my Rogue. Now purples are handed out like candy. Maybe that is why people need to have new content immediately the moment they beat it.

That applies to strikes and any other thing in the game that takes 20 min tops... Not VoG on hard where you can't revive people and a single death can will lead to a wipe depending on where you are in the raid. I don't have time to spend 4 hours trying to beat a raid the "legit" way only to get shards and energies.

And yet, in the VAST majority of games, that is EXACTLY what is done. It's a time sync, regardless of the fact of whether it is baby easy content or the highest tier of insane difficulty. It's RNG, you already get a ridiculously good exotic for completing HARD VoG, which I do not agree with personally. That should also be a random drop, or only given to one individual upon completing.

You mean the Vex? That is also subject to RNG. I know people who've completed the hard raid 30 times and still don't have it. I understand it's RNG but i believe the harder the content, the higher the drop rate.

Good, I am glad then. I thought it was 100% for simply completing it on hard. On your other point I would not be opposed to the drop rate being "more forgiving" on hard modes, but still, it needs to be RNG.
