Exactly. This is why Nerfing is misguided.
I have never been on a Nightfall strike etc and wished 'Gee I wish that the other Guardian on this mission with me had a weaker gun. He's taking all the fun out of this but killing stuff before it can kill us'.
Balancing weapons is a great deal more difficult in PVP, but please, when those of us who were on the grind for hrs to get weapons, then level those weapons, end up having hard fought for perks removed it is [b]MADDENING[/b]
I imagine Bungie spent hundreds of hrs play testing exotics in house during development and yet, no one thought to have a separation of PVP/PVE abilities? You could have even worked it into the game fiction that in order to comepete in Crucible, Guardian's weapon had to be modded (which would also tie into the Iron Banner having those limitations removed)
