Got another Cryptarch package yesterday. Since the patch, it had what it usually had in store: 2 blue engrams and nothing else. Maybe another shader that I already got pre-patch. And we all know the patch I'm referring to here. Let me explain. RNG seems to have become less random after the patch, but also more irritating due to the inability to equip multiple exotics at once. The only Legendaries I have rolled post patch are as follows(and you said yourselves that rolling exotics from Legendaries would increase): 2 Chest Engrams attained on Lv26 Hunter decrypted with my 26 Warlock at the time-- 2 Ascendant Energy, Lucky Raspberry. Then I got 2 class item engrams on my Titan, 28, decrypted one for the New Monarchy Mark (scrapped immediately) and put other on then 26 Warlock, decrypted to Vanguard Bond. Finally, yesterday, I received a Guantlet engram, which on my 27 Warlock gave me Sunbreakers. At least before, I could find some Legendary Engrams whilst farming and roll maybe 1/10 into a weapon or something. But now, finding the guaranteed Legendaries is next to impossible. Ranking up a faction has a chance to give 2 ascendant shards or energy. My brother got just that from getting Crucible Rank 5 yesterday. Really? After 100+ Crucible matches, THAT is a reward? I don't think so, considering he rolled a Truth in a losing match as well as Suros. Does this game have any incentives for performance? Not really. I shouldn't be able to join my pal in the last 5 minutes of his Nightfall and get Hard Light while he gets his third Legendary for the week from his third character. People shouldn't be getting 4 Ropes to Heaven from "random" ship engrams in "random" chests on planets. Or "randomly" get 8 raid boots in a row, like another friend of mine ending up doing. RNG seems pretty consistent in -blam!-ing people over or blessing them. It seems like the algorithm is cyclic. I have 8 exotic weapons now, and I've gotten them ALL in the past 1 1/2 weeks. This seems a bit too coincidental for my taste. Also, if we're over cryptarch rank 20, stop giving us goddamn blue engrams, it's infuriating. I have over 1000 plasteel plating and NOTHING to use it for. Anyway, I'm typing on a phone, so making coherent sentences(as opposed to a bucket list of anti-Bungie demands) is rather difficult. So I'll end it here. Is RNG really random? I can't say for certain, but it seems that it gives you everything at once whenever it actually decides to give you something.
