Fighting your way back out of a strike instead of returning to orbit would be nice. Then you could be able to change while you are on a planet from the stike mode to Patrol or something. If you are on a planet you should be able to stay on the planet to change missions. So the hold Y button becomes a "do you want to go to orbit or change planet mission?" question. That would nice.
