"Some people have done just that, though. Can you explain how a Level 5 Guardian can use a starter gun to take down a Raid veteran? Derek: Your skill will take you 80% of the way to victory, but that last 20% will be a much harder climb without the gear you’ve been relying on." From Bungie themselves. I think you should take your own advice and get your facts straight before trying to correct others. And regardless, there was video proof of a level 4 with the Khostov doing the same damage against a 28 and a 10.

I've seen such videos with one guy in PVP with his friends and he gets kills on targets that 2 or 3 people are all shooting at. They played the game well as a team, seldom does he 1v1 someone who and make them look like a joke (unless they actually don't know how to play PVP) My bad on the mix up I guess but it doesn't really matter since they're correcting that next time around.

  • The video in question was actually 3 people purposely testing it, not just clips taken from a game. But I agree, gear should be a factor, but it wasn't previously. That being said it shouldn't be the only factor, skill should definitely still be the major factor.

  • I do not know if we watched the same video. But I will agree on the skill part, it would be nice to have gear and weapon advantages as well. Just to try it out.

  • Guess not, I saw it on the forums. It was a group of 3 guys (2 on 1 team, 1 on the other) repeatedly running to the same area and testing the damage of their guns on eachother.
