Should the government be allowed to restrict freedom of speech?
Fight it out in the arena of Debate

Not to feminists
-
I can't believe nine people voted yes. One is too many.
-
Why is this a question? Freedom of speech is practically a natural right
-
People should get a better understanding of what "freedom of speech" actually means before they go acting like it's some sort of get out of jail free card to say anything
-
I believe you can say whatever you want as long as you are willing to accept the consequences and acknowledge that words are not merely a combination of letters for you to spout out. Words can carry power, and you can misuse that at your own risk. Some things being stated can be taken very very seriously and have consequences.
-
Why should the gvrnmnt not be allowed to regulate what is causing others harm through speech
-
No they should never be allowed to restrict it.

No the government shouldn't restrict it. Why shouldn't we have the right to say what we want? Any reason for that would just to oppress us. Freedom of speech is also incredibly helpful to drive discussion and new ideas.
