The question is who cares ? let them whine about it if that makes their life better since I surely don't care what others think when I play a female character. Reasons I think people are whining is 1: they are homophobic they still are stuck in the barbaric past and can't accept even little things like a male ( even when actually being hetero ) playing a female character in a game. 2: They are whiners about everything, maybe they had a rough life or just complain about everything they can't grasp so they waste their time about whining about everything. 3: trolls aka waste of space. Anyway you don't need to explain why you like to play a certain gender in a GAME, it is all about what you find fun and cool about it not some nobody from the other side of the screen.
