You are talking about a war between the actual consoles, there is a difference between that and a war over games. There is a reason there are multiple consoles, and that is simply because they are made differently, they have different hardware and software, that is a good kind of competition, it helps to keep prices lower and make consoles better. The taking of content from one another (specifically in games they already share), is a different area, it is a form of competition that doesn't add to their console, it simply takes away from the other. Its like political add campaigns, there are the type of adds that say what they can do for you, then there are the adds that just say what the other guy isn't doing, except in this case you are actually taking away from the other person, not just saying what they wont do. Video game makers themselves should allow for exclusives (it is their decision after all) but they fall into the trap of being offered money, and therefore take away from their consumers, which is pretty sad since you would hope their main concern would be for those who play their game.
