The thing is, destiny isn't doing timed exclusives. The DLC is literally just ripping off Xbox owners. If you and your friend both wanted to buy a number 1 meal from McDonalds and you both pay the same price you should receive the same amount of food you paid for. But how would you feel if McD's decided to give your friend an extra medium fry and two free cookies? Idk about you but I'd be pretty pissed.
