This is not a free expansion. This was to be part of the game since it relaunch last year. I know better then most since yeah I played the utter failure that was FFXIV the first release and played ARR for 13 months before quitting. They dropped ARR with a large amount of content but it was not everything they intended on having in the base game so all of this stuff coming is a way of making it up to the player base.....kind like what Bungie should be doing IMO
