It is nice to see that you guys are still hard at work, crafting experiences for us to enjoy.
It is always important to realize that most people appreciate all of your hard work, despite whatever a small, vocal minority may proclaim.

Hate to burst your bubble bro, but people who still think this is an acceptable form of this game are in the minority. Fact of the matter is there is next to no narrative, glitchy gameplay, and patches that are unnecessary and only act as a means of this developer as saying "see, we are working on the game." instead of actually addressing these major issues which have come up time and again in the forums. The more i look at the forums the less i see people like you trying to still defend this shell of what should be a game and the more i see of people taking a step back and saying "wait what is the purpose in dinklebot taking me here? He wants to scan for some obscure piece of information that bears no relevance to the current plot line?" face it bro, you are the minority here.
-
You will find that, contrary to what you may, and I hesitate to use this word in your context, think, this forum is not representative of the majority of gamers. The hate factor has been skewed by people like yourself driving people who like this game away.
-
If you look at the poll for how many people hate this matched with the likes, it's 76% Hate vs 34% Likes. Soooooooo actually the minority like this game.
-
Oh sure... The poll that took place on a forum notorious for trolls and whiners, and halo fanboys is COMPLETELY representative of the majority of people. Hey guys! It looks like we have a bonna-fide statistician here! Even a child would know not to take that seriously.
-
I've seen plenty of people on here who arn't trolls or whiners. You can't base the entire online community as such because of a few bad apples.
-
Just as you can not get an accurate sample of hundreds of thousands from a few people. I will say here and now, that judging by my experience in other boards, this forum has the largest population of fervently unreasonable and vocal people that I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. It is also well documented that satisfied customers are much less noisy than unsatisfied ones.
-
Hmm. I'd have to agree :)
-
Which poll?

Edited by VengefulLullaby: 10/30/2014 3:58:56 AMWhen I got on yesterday I saw a poll in the forums that asked wether people liked or hate this game. I was one of the ones who hit 'Hate'. Your gonna have to find it lol I have no idea how I would copy a poll from my phone lol.

Wow, Smh..freaking garbage

The problem is the content in the game is abysmal. Both these dlcs should be released to the community for free between release date and January. And then New dlcs should be worked on after that we pay for, along with some payed for costumes/ ghost skins/ extra hairstyles/ emblems and other easy to produce dlc being released periodically for the next year. As it stands a lot of better games are going to be released in November and most of the player base will leave.

You are welcome to your opinion on the games quality. However, if you did not think you would have liked this game, then you should not have bought it. As someone who pays attention to things, and does not get caught up in hype, I received exactly what expected. And I found it sufficent.
-
Did you at all listen to Destiny's marketing. Bungie built the hype up, not us. People like you are the reason the industry is turning to shit. You support this bullshit. We are getting ripped of and your supporting it. What a joke.
-
If you would pay attention, activision were the ones managing the marketing for this game. Also, long term projections from two years ago do not count as ads or marketing. The people who actually took the hype for something that was supposed to be accurate, and made a massive deal about every vid doc released are the problem. They assumed that every little tidbit and rumor were some kind of guaranteed thing, and looked for meaning where there was none. I am not among their number. I did not expect very much at all and was pleasantly surprised with this game. I will admit that the game does not stack up very well against what you think you were promised, but that so called "promise" never actually happened. When you look at the game, independent of the hype it generated, it actually is pretty good. It isn't the next DooM or anything. It isn't revoloutionary. But then again, who ever said it had to be? It still plays fine (I attest to virtually no bugs or errors) and shooting aliens never really gets old. I freely admit that it is not the best game in history, but it does not have nearly as many flaws as you say it does. Heck, the artwork alone makes it nice enough for me, let alone the spot-on shooting mechanics.
-
Didn't read anything about it. Some friends bought it, I heard it was supposed to be ok. And my ps4 lacked games. I loved the gameplay mechanics in this game. The gameplay is utterly superb. But everything else is lacking. It makes me sad because bungie could avoid this if they wanted to. But they sold out.
-
Yeah, I can see how that might be disappointing for you. To me, though, I find destiny to be a breath of fresh air, after over a decade of the same old franchise over and over again. Them selling out happened a long time ago, when they first agreed to develop games exclusively for one publisher.
-
I hope Dragon age really learned from the previous installment. I'm in serious need of a game that can wow me again.
-
I hear you. Last gen was utterly miserable, with a few games being incredible and the rest being the same old shit. The best era imo was the ps2 era. Also I've dripped destiny to play skyrim again. It's a shame a 4 (I think, not sure when it was released) year old game has more content to keep me amused than this "10 year game".
-
Edited by Tacticus: 10/30/2014 2:35:02 AMYeah, same here. I still fire up the old ps2 every so often, there were some nice games for it... Well, hopefully they will try harder to stay on top of things in the next installment, or maybe try something totally different.
-
Maybe, however, While I'm annoyed at bungie for all the crap they've pulled - I'll certainly do my homework with all future bungie purchases - I'm guessing a lot of the issues are down to Activision. Therefore I've decided I'm never buying from Activision again. No matter what they publish. I'll consider destiny 2 if they get a new publisher. But I'm pretty sure they signed a contract.
-
No its not Activision. Bungie had and still has 100% control of the Destiny Franchise. Activision is just funding them. Go online and read the full contract. Bungie have a 4 game contract with Activision, but Bungie fully owns all 4 games, has complete control of their IP You cannot blame Activision for this, its all bungie.
-
Yeah, it's pity about that.
-
Oh well. Nice chatting with ya. See ya.
