LISTEN ALL OF YOU! For some people like me they have very protective parents. If you don't then lucky you! But my point is that since we have parents who don't even like talking about halo or in this case wouldn't let me go to my friends house becuase he owns COD, this game, for us, is salvation! You may talk trash about the game but still, I'm in the 8th grade and I've never played COD, battlefield or even Warface (until yesterday), so that is very sad. So you guys keep negative comments to yourselves. Destiny is the first FPS game that my mom even let me talk about. So when I heard the game was rated teen I was overjoyed. I've seen many people rage becuase of this game but still, for many kids out there this game, as said before, was salvation. The main reason I think that this game is awsown is becuase it's my first FPS so as said before think about the protective parents out there!

Eh, sorry kid. On average, at least 12% of everything I say somehow involves foul language. You're gonna have to settle for the forums -blam!-ing me when I type -blam!-.

  • Nice. I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm glad you have a chance to try the FPS genre now, especially Destiny. I wasn't allowed to have a Nintendo, so other than Starfox at my cousin's house I didn't touch video games until N64 came out.

  • Dear animeboy101, 1. I think it's awesome that your parents care enough to allow you to grow into content. My parents were the same way, and now that I'm a parent, and I hear and see the way so many gamers act online, trust me when I say they have wisdom. 2.) FPS' are great, but simply put, they're still games. Most FPS games don't even have compelling stories, so don't get too caught up on it. They're not going away any time soon and by the time you can play the Mature ones, they will be even better then what is out right now. 3.) You really didn't help yourself when, in the same sentence, you said that "EVERYONE I know in person says I'm mature", followed by, "all you haters suck a dick". Just because other kids your age think you're mature doesn't mean you are. Avoiding immature behaviors is what makes you mature, not telling people to suck a dick. Just sayin'

  • telling people to suck a dick really makes you look mature... Idk why everyone here is hating on you though, who didn't play Halo in 8th grade? Or even younger.

  • Kid, it sucks that you don't get to play halo, cod, battflied, etc. But when you get older and have to pay for your own stuff, you will.understand why a lot of us are not gonna keep negative comments to ourselves. And when I say pay for your own stuff, I don't mean buying one game with your allowence or whatever, I mean working for everything you own. We want the product that we bought to be worth the money that we paid for it. I'm glad your enjoy destiny and I sincerely hope you continue to, but a lot of people aren't and we want it to be better. That's why we post negative comments. Constructive criticism (most of us anyway)

  • You're in 8th grade. CoD and most other FPS games are rated M for a reason. Before you whine and try to enlighten us with your HUMONGOUS amount of life knowledge, maybe you should graduate and actually get some LIFE XP before you tell folks anything. Kid, you need to be HAPPY your parents care enough about you and actually follow the law. That's not very protective, that's a good example. Too many of ya'lls parents just sit you in front of a TV and let you scream curses and other BS at folks they'll never meet, and then go do whatever the heck they want. There's no discipline left in the world, and it's ruining it. You want to enjoy the game, do it. Just remember we all have the right to our opinions, and some like myself have actually put our rearends on the line to DEFEND that right.

  • I won't hate on you kiddo. I was playing mature games like Doom 3D and Duke Nuken by age 10. But I did not take the "brutality" in the game to real life. Keeping the game as just a game was easy for me. And then I found Halo and that changed my life, thanks to Bungie. Keep it up kid and learn from the original poster. He is a intellectual activist among this community. And similar to what you stated, I suggest keeping negative drama away from posts. Posting positive critique goes a long way:)

  • Pft! So of my best friends I met in marching band and I still hang with them to this day. That was like 8 years ago!! Marching band is a great transition into HS because it allows you to make friends with a lot of older kids, who can guide you in the path you want to take, without the social pressures found everywhere else in HS. It taught me a sense of purpose, right from wrong, and most of all, how to have fun without thinking or caring what other people thought of you. You will literally learn to be a rockstar minus the drugs and random sex... That unnecessary stuff happens once you decide to make a punk rock band ;) Point is, for someone like this kid who may be sheltered, marching band is a great way to assimilate with your peers and to mitigate social pressures because band is a family! With that said, if you want to learn how to have sex, get to know a flute player, and if you wanna learn to do drugs, hit up the percussion section! But again, you don't need that stuff to be cool!!! I will always recommend marching band to anyone because it made me who I am today, and I am awesome!!!

  • Whyte, I started out just like him. Now I'm in 3 different bands (folk, thrash metal, and black metal) band does change your life, even if it makes your high school experience fvcking suck. Music will make you way more desirable in the future than someone who sits around and plays video games all day, you just have to balance it.
