Everybody complaining when all other games do the same thing, what makes this game special

If youre referring to call of duty for playstation, shut up. Thats 1 month, this is 10 or 12.

No, all other games do not do the same thing. Other games give you additional content. In other words, they add on to what is already a completed game. Asassins creed for example, they give you dlc that explains the backstory to the side characters in the STORY. That is not the case with destiny. They intentionally removed content from the game, locking it away on your disc, so that they could charge you more for the completed game. I'd agree with you if the game was complete. But it's just not.

We were promised a much bigger game on release, and we were thoroughly disappointed by discovering disc locked content

Prove it. Post a link to something that says the size of the game on release day so we can compare.

DLC is not supposed to already be on the disc. It's DOWNLOADABLE content. We can assume from this that we were supposed to get more on release, but something caused the content to get cut from the final product (likely something Activision did at the last minute so Bungie could service their DLC part of the contract)
