The complaint is essentially that Destiny players have to "buy" what had been included at first before being taken out.

Edited by reece22345: 10/30/2014 4:22:07 AMWhat proof do you have it was taken out? Considering map assets and placeholders are common practices in game development to decrease the size of future patches. I'd love to hear. The current raid and game as it stands is still getting tweaked and you think the next two expansions were completed and fully polished when the game launched? That's ridiculous.

I understand that content is put on disc before to decrease download times, make future patches easier, etc. But you can't honestly say that destiny is a completed game. It has good qualities, yes, but it in no way lives up to what it could be or matches anything bungie has made in the past. Not by a long shot.

That's an opinon. I think it's pretty good - story could have been better but for the first game of a new IP things will only improve and they have an amazing lore behind them.

Do some independent research. A good amount of the content that was to be available at launch is restricted until the dlc releases. Not because it is unfinished but so that they could charge players to access it later on. The story line and lack of dialogue suffered because of this.

Edited by reece22345: 10/30/2014 4:53:48 AMIf you could please provide a link that provides proof that would be fantastic as I've tried my best to keep up with it all. The reddit "ex-QA/dev" Q&A is a ridiculous troll that I've read in its entirety. The story and dialogue suffered because they made a poor design choice in having a metagame with the grimoire - not "evil corporation-y reasons". I'm open to reading a considered, non-conspiracy theory source that provides proof. Until that point I maintain the above stance.

Your opinion is your own. Destiny's storyline has no pulse because of decisions they made. Which unfortunately caused the rest of the game to suffer.

Edited by MochaKat: 10/30/2014 4:32:56 AMNever said they were and I don't think anyone expects them to be. Also don't feel like digging for the specific thread so you can do that yourself though there are a few other decent ones on the topic. At the same time, one shouldn't have to pay $20 for "one episode" + a few other things. "Two episodes"? Maybe but one? Nope.

There isn't any proof - just people making assumptions and being clueless about general game development. I've yet to see one piece of hard evidence and until I do, I maintain my position.
