Well hopefully the reverse will happen with the second dlc :) not that I care that much. One strike isn't going to bring me that much entertainment. I certainly won't be playing a year later. Skyrim is the only game I've played for a year. And there's still stuff I haven't done yet and even that game became stale. So a game with the amount of content destiny has? Another month consistently playing will be pushing it. I may still play sporadically for a few hours at a time, maybe for another couple months. After that I can't imagine how much content it would take to keep me coming back a year later for one strike.
