I hope that everyone knows that the guy who wrote halo and was the project lead for destiny quit after bungie scraped his story that was advertised in 2013 destiny trailers.

HE didn't necessarily scrap his story, it was Activision and Bungie who had waning opinions on the new direction and core focus Activision wanted a sacrifice of story for a more intuitive and diverse world and gameplay, while Bungie wanted to focus on story over the amount of free world accessible. It seems both recieved the short end of the stock the old director quit because he didn't like the forced direction of Actovision. I speculate that he didn't want his name attached to the story. I knew when he left, it was over....

I know, and HIS story was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than what we have now (I wouldn't even call it a story, more like a "why-we-defend-our-ghost-and-have-to-kill-waves-of-enemies".
