That's stupid logic. It would be like going 20 miles per hour on the freeway cause your gps told you it would take an hour to get somewhere and you're gonna do it in 15 minutes otherwise. 10 year plan implies they have 10 years worth of content, not that there going to chop up less to fit their timeline.

Good point, but they should also include enough content to keep players from leaving before the DLCs get released..
