Not really. Activision haven't lost a sale because that person never would have bought brand new. They're in exactly the same position as they were before you decided to sell on eBay. If you want to hurt them, don't sell on the internets biggest second hand store. Sell somewhere where you can tempt a paying customer into giving you/a retailer all the money instead of Activision.

I can disprove your point. I shop around, I'm sure many others do, I will buy from whoever sells at the best prices, I don't impulse buy. If I see a game considerably cheaper online or second hand in good condition I will buy it. The plastic film on a new copy means nothing to me. Same product same experience

But the plastic film on a new copy means everything to me. I would rather buy new and support the industry I love. Anecdotal evidence means nothing. The crazy thing is, I'm not even trying to put what your doing down. I encourage you to trade in if you like. What I am trying to discourage is the notion that your one copy of the game means anything to a company as large as Activision. It's a drop in the ocean to them. I'd also consider trading in in store. Some of them offer a decent, set price and you won't be involved in a bidding war against dozens of other sellers. Either way, claw back as much of your money as you can and good luck.

I looked on eBay yesterday and there were 7 copies for sale in the space of 8 hrs in the uk for xbox one. I am not alone, people have had enough of disconnection issues or lack of content

Edited by dadwithapad: 10/30/2014 1:12:19 PMAnd they're entitled to that opinion. Meanwhile, I've had one disconnection issue since launch and am having fun. Not sure if I'll be buying the expansions yet, or even if I'll still be playing in a few months. Again, I'm not supporting being ripped off. I'm supporting a product I enjoy for a price I think was fair. And I'm also supporting your right to get rid of anything you're not happy with.

I'm choosing to go this route with an activision game. You support the industry you love but encourage rip off merchants like activision with cod/destiny. I have pre ordered far cry 4 as I enjoyed 2 and 3.

I don't encourage rip off merchants. I buy the games I want at the price I want. I hate FPS's but loved the Halo series. I played and enjoyed the Destiny Beta. Therefore, I bought Destiny. Just like you did. How am I encouraging it when you're not?
