Just a thought... Noticed you use xbox live to log in... you using the xbox one? Thinking you could probably have what, maybe 24 people on your massive invasion map.. MAYBE with that console... certainly not near that many on the 360. it's a great idea... but... has ANY game ever tried that and had it work? I mean I'd love it too... but... the lag would be phenomenal... and later, people would say "oh, another tower attack... meh. Why bother? it's just waves of enemies.." ...just like they complain about everything else in games like this. As for the complaints regarding the changes they DID make.. really, you raise the concept of teamwork and the feel of working HARD at something to be the true goal... and then prefer they NOT make the raid "oh your aren't a warlock, just sit there while we push him off the edge, making the last toughest boss in game poof in under a minute"? Seriously? And the caves... yes of COURSE people complain about how it's boring now that we can't stand and shoot at a hole for several hours... just saying, I loved the imagery you used, and would love if any console could actually handle that kind of thing, an organic and ever changing, pressure is on type of dynamism... but the things you ask for are SO contradicted by the things you complained about them removing... all the stuff that removed teamwork, and added hundreds of hours of boredom (seriously, what kind of loser has nothing better to do in their lives except shoot at a hole spitting out.... ...OH... I get it... it's a Freudian thing. I stand corrected... carry on.

  • Even if you could only have 24 people in one microcosmic firefight, think about the possibilities. You could have multiple 24-player zones in the battle, and you get directed to the zone that has the least people, where you're needed most. That would solve the capacity issue and create a maximum scale event to participate in. Currently, the public events consist of standing inside a white circle and killing dregs that run at some random node thing you're supposed to protect. That's not going to cut it - ever. And I doubt this would get old, especially if it were kept to one big event per week, and the location and implications of the event's outcomes would continuously change and truly affect the Destiny universe. As for my string of minor criticisms, all I was trying to do was show that Bungie is focusing on things that are tremendously small in the scheme of the game's survival. Good thoughts, though. I enjoyed reading your response.

  • Yeah, the real issue, sadly, is hardware... even next gen consoles can barely handle a small version of what we'd all like to see. that and... damn, There's almost never even ONE person around to help with an event, even though there's lots of event trackers out there, lol. Sadly, as I said to someone else earlier... no one is really ever gonna be happy with Destiny, if they didn't like it from the start. It will never be deep, or epic... it has some story (not much... but some.. actually, the grimoire card snipets are entertaining... now if I only liked collecting cards like when I was 8...) but it's mostly a platform for casual co-op and pvp.
