Playing with single-use online-only friends I just spent 50 minutes finding on forums sucks too, but more so because of the effort and time I wasted finding them.
Seriously, if your multiplayer game does not contain the social features and functionality required to beat the content in that game, then your game fecking sucks.
Trawling forums is fecking boring. I'm bored of doing it, and bored of fanboys telling me to do it every time anyone calls Bungie out for this broken part of the game.
Don't tell me that I need to put effort and faith into a game to get the most out of it when a fecking third of the content isn't even available on my platform. This shit has to be both ways.

Edited by DeafFB0: 10/30/2014 2:30:27 PMIt's the most challenging, team effort requiring activity in the game. It's not supposed to be like a tiger strike. But, I do agree that the game needs more social features. Proximity chat is a must.

Yes, I get that, though the strikes are particularly unimaginative bullet sponge bosses. Team work required? Fine. Why can't a team be match-made. What, exactly, can I do to vet randoms on forums that the game couldn't do if they'd built it right? I've commented on the lack of matchmaking before - it's killing this game and I don't believe for a second that Destiny still has their claimed 3 million active players. I don't know anyone IRL who's still playing (anecdotal, I know) but with the MMC, Sunset Overdrive and the annual BF/CoD/FIFA franchises I think this sorry excuse for DLC won't keep anyone. I'm on to Microsoft support to see if I can get a refund for this crap.

I personally like Destiny because I love killing aliens with guns I've found throughout my playtime. Unlike most players, i love crucible and PvE content, so I'm excited for the new maps and raid coming soon. It gets repetitive, I know, but there is something about it that always brings me back the next day.
