Yep, Sony’s snagged themselves yet another Destiny exclusive: one of The Dark Below‘s strike missions — you know, the ones where you and two other players go through quasi-dungeons and take on powerful bosses — is only for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Bungie says the exclusive is until “at least” fall of 2015, which means that for at least the next year, Xbox players will miss out on a large chunk of The Dark Below.
That’s on top of the already-PlayStation-exclusive Dust Palace strike, so if you’re keeping track, by the second week of December, PlayStation owners will have eight strikes while Xbox players only have six. Of course, it’s been clear for months now that Bungie has firmly sided with Sony in the battle for your living room, but that hasn’t stopped Xbox fans from feeling ripped off. How can you blame them? They’re paying the same amount of money as PlayStation players, yet getting less stuff.

Obviously 1 strike mission isn't a "huge chunk" Maybe if Xbox didn't get the raid or something then that would be a huge chunk. But it's not and we will get it eventually.
-
When you say it's not a huge chunk. When you actually look at the content. Ps 8 strikes. Xbox 6. That's 1/4 more content. That's a pretty large chunk. Considering strikes are mainly (except PvP) the place you'll get you're rewards from after the weekly challenges are done. So, to pay the same price and get less is unfair. It's like me ordering a burger meal for £/$/€5, you ordering the same burger for the same price, but you didn't get the rest of what I have. I'm xbox one user, but either way don't really care. I've said it a few times, I like destiny. But, is lacking a lot anyways. I'm more looking forward to other games coming out.

2 strikes in December, not counting future content,

That's were you didn't do your homework. PSN stopped being free to play for online games. If you want to participate in crucible, strikes, and raids it costs just as much a month as Microsoft to play. So if we don't pay for ps plus then we spent $20 on 3 story missions. 2nd of all Xbox has been getting dlc exclusives for years before ps would receive it. Bethesda games such as Elder Scrolls and Fallout series and lots of EA title such as CoD and Dragon Age to name a few. This is the first time PS4 has ever been on the right side of the fence. However I will give you the fact you pay the same price for one strike less but let's be honest. They aren't going to charge you for it. Most likely the two exclusive strikes will be a free patch update to come. The Dust palace wasn't that great anyways.

Edited by Jig: 10/30/2014 10:27:48 AMQuite a few f2p games do not require plus subscription

True as that may be, it is irrelevant here.

I was attempting to reply to a comment further down about subscription models.

PS4 players DO have to pay for online gaming so your argument is invalid.
