Sorry Deej but I have to tell you.
The amount of content you get with the DLC is not enough for the asking price. To tell you the truth it should've been complimentary.
I know a lot of people work hard on Destiny and there is no way you can keep up with our gameplay hours but it must be said that it's not worth paying $ 20 for.
What does World of Warcraft expansion give which is $50:
- A new continent with 7 New zones, 1 pvp zone
- Housing (Building a garrison)
- 7 new dungeons (Strikes) 2 Raids
- 3 new pvp maps
- 10 levels
- New abilities and talents
- HUNDREDS of new quests
So if I multiply Destiny DLC by 2.5 to get to the same price range we get this
- 7ish new story missions
- 9 new pvp maps
- 6 levels (30-36)
- 6 strikes (Xbox gets 3)
- 3 raids
See what's wrong with the content you get for that price?
I, WE, want more PVE story missions. More content for PVE players.
Let me pop that dream bubble activision has.

E sports are kinda lame, and you're not forced to buy anything. The price is set, so whining about it does nothing constructive at all. object with your wallet, by actually not buying it. For the rest, I'm ready to kick Crota's ass!!
-
Whining about it actually shows Bungie that we are not happy with such a little amount of story. Meaning we might get more story in the future DLC. I will object with my wallet and not buy this DLC. I'll wait for the 2nd one and maybe buy the season pass. Which is prolly a lot more worth my money.

Edited by orakle44: 10/30/2014 10:30:05 AMWoW is a bad example, it's a mmo with a monthly fee. A better example would have been call of duty, or battlefield. They charge $15 for their map packs, and we usually get what, 3 new pvp maps, and no new story content. So if you look at it that way we are getting quite a bit for $20.
-
Problem is blizzard is filthy rich and they couldn't care less about anything
-
No WoW is a perfect example. People on consoles are blinded by a PVP world where DLC's give you 3 new pvp maps. While in the PVE world DLC's really give you something massive. WoW is a giant PVE world with story, gameplay etc. The main problem is that Destiny wants to fill that PVE gap for consoles but instead of catering us with a lot of story/pve content they give us more PVP maps. Also the monthly fee for WoW isn't entirely used for new Expansion content. It's used for Services, Server Maintenance, patches and hotfixes. There are people stand by 24/7 to answer your questions as soon as possible. They might have a little cash left each month for new content, but I highly doubt it. Most content gets addes during the months you play anway.
-
That's exactly his point. Destiny has all the financial needs of WoW, but without the monthly fee. Bungie has to pay for all of those things through game and DLC purchases, in addition to any new content.
-
4 pvp maps and zombie or whatever
-
the question bungie is asking themselves isnt how much content they can make for £20 but how little content they can make which you will still pay £20 for
-
Well, maybe you should judge a dlc after its released and not off of some weiner that found the dlc on the disc If you want more, mail bungie some more money each month It'll probably help
-
It could be great for esports. Just missing private matches.
-
Edited by ClutchNixon: 10/30/2014 10:10:06 AMWorld of Warcraft has a fifteen dollar monthly cost. To compare it to Destiny made your entire post invalid.
-
Lol... ok how about star wars Kotor? Its free and adds a lot more with each dlc than this. You are just so blinded you are making excuses for this rip off
-
That monthly fee goes to content patches. This expansion will be getting a lot of additional content till the next expansion.
-
Actually the montly subscription is being used to pay for services, server maintenance, patches and Hotfixes. They might have some of that monthly cash to put into the new expansion, which I highly doubt but only blizzard knows. This new wow expansion is already full with content at it's own and will unlock more over the passing months. Eventually really giving you an immersive story and ending with killing of a certain badboy. If Wow began years ago with a level cap of 30, 6 dungeons, 4 zones, 3 classes, 1 raid and a total of 40 quests. It wouldn't still be here today. The reason wow is big because their content for price is big. Each expansion gives you about 400 quests, equaling 133 DLC packs. So you've paid $ 2660 for equal of quests of 1 expansion in wow. Even with the anual subscription of 155,88 + 50 for the expansion that is nearly no where the value lies of Story missions. And that is the whole point I'm making. How can you tell us proudly you have 3 story missions?

Beastly post, bump!.
Destiny will NEVER be an Esports giant!
Thank God!
-
I think it truly is Activision's Dream to be one of the Giants out there. That is why we're forced so much pvp up our ass
-
That's what COD is for. I hope they don't try and pigeonhole destiny into that. I actually enjoy playing the PvP on destiny because it's not the e sports influenced...
-
Even blizzards expansion raised the lvl cap by ten.. 2 lvls lol
