I can't speak for anyone else, but I have a full time job and 3 kids. I don't have time to spend reading every news article that comes out for a game. I saw the trailers, and read a few articles about the game. It looked fun, so I bought it. In retrospect, maybe I should have done a little more research, but again, if I have to do that much research, we've already crossed a line. I'm buying a video game, not a house. I guess the thinking is that if PS4 has the exclusives, then more people will buy the PS4 instead of an XBone. Well, I own an Xbox 360, and have for several years. While I would love a PS4 (or an XBone, don't really care that much), I've got other stuff to spend money on right now. I'm not going to rush out and buy a brand new console just because PS4 gets a couple extra missions and X-Box doesn't. It just makes me irritated at the entire situation.
The only thing left for me to do is to speak with my wallet, and not purchase any DLC for Destiny. I guess it works out, since I don't have a ton of time for it anyways, but it still bums me out a little, because the core gameplay is so much fun. I can see how awesome this game really could be, and it just makes the current state of it that much more depressing.
