Okay so next time I plan on trusting a well known and popular company I should read the very fine print and to get the best deal spend extra money for no reason?

It wasn't very fine print, it was an entire ad campaign. It's nobody's fault but your own you didn't understand it.

So essentially what you are saying is that it was advertised on a trailer and billboards that it was going to releasing content a year later and we the consumer were fed this information?
