I see where your coming from. But
If what they said two weeks ago is true, that 3.2 million people are still playing.
And the ps4 has out sold Xbox 3/1 , then let's make the assumption that a much larger part of there customer base is on ps4 ( on top of the fact more people would have bought a ps4 / on ps4 for exclusive ) .
So I'm going to make the assumption that the Xbox fan base is small enough for them to risk righting it off with out to much worry. If not it would seem like a bad business move.
Or the other thing could be that Sony are paying to take up the slack maybe.

that was 3.2 active members per day, many people don't play every day, so what your looking at is probably more like 10 million different users per week, which still means destiny on xbox 1 and 360 has a HUGE player base. also in terms of sales, the amount of units sold, it IS split 50/50 between the two platforms. ps4 at 46% of total units sold ps3 at 4% xbox one at 36% xbox360 at 14% so the community IS split 50/50
