Yeah we're all in a clan. I've noticed the party / game chat change thing as well. Very annoying.
Port forwarding a router sounds too complicated for me and also annoying given I've shelled out the best part of £500, I'd expect it to work.

Port forwarding is extremely easy!! There are a few webpages that walk you through it. It might not even be you, it could be that they are working on a strict nat type whilst yours is open. Make sure, if it happens again, you get everyone to check their nat type. That will resolve the issue as well.
