If the light level is going to be 32 does that mean pretty much all other armour in the game bar raid gear will be obsolete.? And what about weapons will 300 damage be increased?

Yep rinse and repeat, get us having to do the grind all over again which is a fundamental practice of making as much money for as long as possible from an MMO. Warcraft did it for years with FREE patches.

no, and no. Raid gear will still be needed, if only for the Shards, to get to 32. weapons won't have a damage increase, the new raid is meant to be a real challenge, so they will make you use regular weapons.

I'm guessing by "challenging" you mean that they're going to just make every enemy a bullet sponge.

well, I'm simply going off of Bungie's previous work here. only time will tell if this Raid is actually hard or not.

no, because what if you're a level 23 and your friend ropes you into the raid? no, all Exotics are scaled to level 20. that won't change.
